The Evergreen Rodeo Association is a 100% volunteer, non-profit, charitable corporation which sponsors the Evergreen Rodeo, a sanctioned event of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). As such, the association is held to strict accountability for the quality of the rodeo and facilities, treatment of all stock involved and for a fully professional rodeo performance. (A home town atmosphere with top notch contestants and entertainment.)

The association is unique in that it is one of the few totally independent PRCA rodeo committees. We do not operate under the “umbrella” of a community, service or government organization. The members handle all production details: hire the stock contractor and entertainment; sell advertising, sponsorships and tickets; maintain facilities; and work as crew during the rodeo. The association owns the 17 acre El Pinal rodeo property.

Evergreen Rodeo Weekend, the oldest charity event in Evergreen, features the last small town PRCA Rodeo’s in the Denver metro area and is one of our only fund raisers. These funds are used to maintain the facilities, meet all rodeo costs and contribute to local community services, including Evergreen, Indian Hills and Clear Creek VFD and ambulance, Forest Heights Home, Shriners, Disabled Veterans, Senior Citizens, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Mounted Patrol, Freedom Service Dogs, local equestrian activities, and the Evergreen Elk’s many charities.

The Evergreen Rodeo is a true celebration of small town life. Membership draws people from businesses, crafts and private life as well as experienced rodeo hands and horse enthusiasts. New members are always welcomed with a call to association membership coordinator, Nancy Lyons at 303-674-7448 or lyonn@earthlink.net
